Accepted Nursing Assistant Student Steps

  1. Congratulations on your Acceptance to Mid-State. Have not applied? Apply Now!

  2. Nursing Assistant Orientation (please complete prior to new student advising)

    • Go to: Blackboard

      • Use this login (you may use this login often)

        • Username is nassistant

        • Password is na2319

    • Click on “Nursing_Assistant_Accepted_Student_Orientation” located under “My Courses”.

    • Complete the information session.

      • Pay close attention to course calendars and required activities

      • Completion of nursing assistant orientation is good for 90 days.

    • Complete the quiz and submit with a score of 11/11 (100%). *You can take this quiz as many times as you need to achieve 100%  

  3. New Student Advising Appointment.

    • New student advising includes information about Mid-State technology resources, course placement, academic advising and registration.

    • If you need to take the Accuplacer, be sure to spend some time preparing to ensure we place you in the correct courses. Visit Accuplacer Prep Information

    • What to bring:

      • You'll need to know your Social Security Number

      • Photo ID if taking Accuplacer

      • ACT and/or Accuplacer scores if you have them

      • High school/college transcripts if you wish to transfer courses

      • A $15 Caregiver Background Check fee

      • Required documentation listed below if not submitted with application

  4. Documentation - Bring with you or complete at new student advising

Program Notes:

Health work - Pay close attention to the health work requirements and due dates. Due dates are not flexible and failure to complete health work requirements on time could result in loss of points or removal from class. Health work MUST be submitted to Nursing Assistant Health Work.
