After completing his degree from Mid-State straight out of high school, Colin Yusten of Marshfield will deliver the student address at Mid-State Technical College’s commencement on Sunday, Dec. 15. The honor marks Yusten’s official transition to a new chapter already underway, as he approaches graduation from the Machine Tool Technician program.

Mid-State Technical College will celebrate the achievements of its fall graduates on Sunday, Dec. 15, in a combined commencement ceremony in the Wisconsin Rapids Campus gymnasium beginning at 1:30 p.m. Mid-State’s Machine Tool Technician program will be a highlight of the program.

Mid-State Technical College’s third annual Apprenticeship Food Drive has collected and distributed a whopping 7,134 pounds of food and household items to local pantries in Mid-State’s district communities, a significant jump over last year’s 2,000-pound haul.

Anyone interested in learning about IT-related jobs and apprenticeship opportunities is encouraged to attend on Nov. 13, from 1 to 3 p.m.
