Parents of high school seniors invited to Mid-State Direct Admission information sessions
Parents, guardians and supporters of class of 2025 students, along with their graduating senior, are invited to Mid-State Technical College’s parent informational sessions to learn about the Direct Admission program.
Through the Direct Admission program, Mid-State partners with local high schools to automatically accept high school seniors in the College’s district upon graduation. No application is necessary.
In addition to details on Mid-State’s Direct Admission program, the sessions will also feature details on Mid-State programs, student support services, scholarships, student life activities and more. Direct Admission information sessions are available in person at the Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids campuses as well as online.
• Monday, July 15, from 5 to 6 p.m. on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus or virtually.
• Wednesday, September 25, from 12 to 1 p.m. virtually.
• Tuesday, October 15, from 5 to 6 p.m. on the Stevens Point Campus or virtually.
“We are proud to welcome and serve the class of 2025,” said Jackie Esselman, dean of Recruitment and Admissions. “This is our fifth year of working with our district high schools on a direct admission for their graduating classes.”
“We’ve seen students feel more comfortable with the college admission process and develop solid plans after high school graduation,” added Esselman. “Students can access Mid-State easily whether it’s for a summer class that transfers to a university, completing an associate degree or simply completing a short-term certificate to be more formally trained before entering the workforce.”
