Mid-State Technical College has been recognized as Wisconsin’s Top Technical College for 2025 by Education Insider magazine. The award honors Mid-State’s strong reputation among students, employers and peers across the state as well as its continued commitment to workforce development and community partnership. 

Mid-State Technical College marked two major milestones in Adams on Wednesday, Oct. 8, with the ribbon-cutting for the new Adams County Fire District Training Center and a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of programming at Mid-State’s Adams Campus.

Mid-State Technical College has been named runner-up for Transfr’s Trailblazer Power of Partnership Award, recognizing the College’s collaborations to build and equip the Wayne H. Bushman Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship (AMETA™) Center. 

A first-of-its-kind opportunity from Mid-State is now coming to Stevens Point Area Senior High (SPASH). Mid-State Technical College and the Stevens Point Area School District have partnered to launch the Business Management Academy, giving high school students the chance to earn a full associate degree in Business Management and real-world business experience, all before graduation.

Mid-State Technical College’s Nursing program has been named the top RN program in Wisconsin for 2026 by RegisteredNursing.org, rising to No. 1 for the first time after consistently ranking in the state’s top ten in recent years.

Mid-State Technical College will host two upcoming events at its Wayne H. Bushman Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship (AMETA™) Center, each designed to help community members explore pathways to rewarding careers in manufacturing, engineering and technology.

Registration is open for Mid-State Technical College’s mid-term start classes beginning in October, which means it’s not too late to get started this fall.

Mid-State Technical College is proud to announce a new partnership with the Marshfield Job Center, bringing enhanced career and college access services to the Mid-State on Central location in downtown Marshfield.

Mid-State Technical College is offering a new 27-credit Advanced Meat Cutting and Butchery technical diploma. The  program builds skills in humane livestock processing, carcass fabrication, portion control, meat merchandising and retail management.

A groundbreaking new opportunity is now available to Lincoln High School students, thanks to a partnership between Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools and Mid-State Technical College. The new Business Management Academy allows students to earn a full associate degree in Business Management, all while still in high school.
