Mid-State names Alex Lendved its new Marshfield Campus dean

Mid-State Technical College has selected Alex Lendved as the next dean of the Marshfield Campus. The transition is a promotion for Lendved, who has worked as Mid-State’s manager of advising since 2017 and previously as its credit for prior learning coordinator. Lendved replaces Brenda Dillenburg as campus dean, who served in the role from July 2002 until her retirement in August 2018.

Job seekers invited to Feb. 12 Central Wisconsin Collegiate Career and Internship Fair

The biannual Central Wisconsin Collegiate Career and Internship Fair will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 11 to 3 p.m., in the Laird Room of the Dreyfus University Center on the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point campus. Co-sponsored by Mid-State Technical College and the UW-Stevens Point campuses, the event is a chance for graduates and continuing students to connect with over 50 employers from throughout Wisconsin to learn about career positions as well as internships, summer jobs and other practical experiences.

Mid-State’s Betty Bruski Mallek named statewide Board Member of the Year

The evening of January 17 was an especially proud one for Mid-State Technical College as longtime Board member Betty Bruski Mallek received the 2019 Board Member of the Year Award. The statewide honor was bestowed by Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association executive committee vice president Vernon Jung during an awards ceremony at the organization’s quarterly meeting in Madison.
