Mid-State Technical College celebrated the achievements of its 2021 scholarship recipients at the annual Foundation Scholarship Reception, held on the College’s Wisconsin Rapids Campus and live-streamed on Sept. 16. The presentation showcased 175 donors in support of the 300 Mid-State and local high school students who received awards.

“As our students continue to navigate the ever-changing environment of learning and living, they still are facing new challenges daily, and their grit and determination to stay the course to completion of their degree is evident in their ability to find ways to pay for college,” said Jill Steckbauer, Foundation & Alumni director. “This year’s new and exciting combination of in-person and virtual reception was a celebration and tribute to Mid-State students and the faculty, staff and scholarship donors who support them.

The Foundation disburses over $300,000 in scholarships each year. This year’s reception marks the 42nd year the Mid-State Foundation has hosted an event to publicly recognize the achievements and dedication of scholarship recipients.
