Joico products launched in Mid-State Technical College campus salon

October 25, 2019

Mid-State Technical College Barber Technologist and Cosmetology students will now use Joico hair care and coloring lines in the College’s on-campus salon, The Salon@Mid-State. The new product line was introduced with a product launch and open house on the Wisconsin Rapids Campus, Oct. 21–24.

Open house attendees enjoyed free Joico samples, information on Joico, demonstrations on color matching and refreshments. The College also shared information about the Barber Technologist and Cosmetology programs for prospective students.

According to Mid-State’s Dean of Business and Technology, Missy Skurzewski-Servant, the decision to adopt Joico stemmed from the College’s regular product line review to best prepare students for success in the local beauty industry. Input from students, staff, clientele and business partners all contributed to selecting Joico.

“Whenever we adopt a new line, it sends ripples of excitement through our students and instructors in the salon,” Skurzewski-Servant said. “This open house has been a great way to share that excitement with the community and give them samples of what they’ll experience when they come in for an appointment.”

Fall hours for The Salon@Mid-State are posted at mstc.edu/salon, and gift certificates are available. Call 715.422.5531 or visit the salon on Mid-State’s Wisconsin Rapids Campus to inquire or make an appointment.
