Mid-State Technical College summer registration now open

April 16, 2026

Expanded lineup of classes, camps and career exploration opportunities available for all ages

Summer registration for credit classes at Mid-State Technical College is now open, offering students a flexible way to stay on track, get ahead or explore new career pathways.

In addition to traditional summer coursework, Mid-State is offering an expanded lineup of camps, events and hands-on learning experiences for adult learners, high school students and middle school youth. While the College has offered summer programming in the past, this year’s opportunities represent a broader and more robust selection designed to reach learners at every stage.

“Summer is a great time to explore what’s next—whether that’s starting a degree, building new skills or simply trying something new,” said Dean of Strategic Marketing & Recruitment Jackie Esselman. “We’ve created more opportunities than ever for learners of all ages to connect with careers, engage with our campuses and take meaningful steps toward their goals.”

Flexible options for adult learners

Adults considering a return to college can take advantage of personalized, low-pressure ways to get started. One-on-one “Transfer Talks” with advisors allow prospective students to review previous credits and build a plan that fits their schedule.

Hands-on and guided experiences are also available, including a Start Strong Financial Wellness event in July, where participants can receive help with admissions, financial aid and registration and upcoming Simulation Center event, offering behind-the-scenes looks at careers in health care.

Exploration opportunities for high school students

High school students and their families can explore career pathways and college options through targeted events and camps. HealthQuest: Nursing Exploration Camp gives students a hands-on look at the role of a registered nurse, while Direct Admission information sessions help families understand how students can secure a spot at Mid-State before graduating high school.

These experiences are designed to help students make informed decisions about their future while gaining early exposure to in-demand careers.

Hands-on summer camps for middle school youth

Middle school students can explore a wide variety of interests through interactive, career-focused camps. Offerings include hands-on experiences like Teen Welding Camp at the AMETA Center and Youth AI & Coding Camp, introducing students to emerging technologies in a fun, beginner-friendly environment.

Additional camps span topics such as agriculture, public safety and culinary arts, giving students the chance to discover new interests while building confidence and skills.
