Celebrate Mother’s Day at Mid-State by treating a special mom in your life to salon services, a cookie decorating class, and a plant sale! Sign up for one activity or indulge in several, depending on your preference. It’s the perfect way to pamper and bond with mom.

Salon Services

Salon services will be provided by the students and staff of our Cosmetology program in The Salon at Mid-State. Choose between these great salon services to pamper yourself and your skin. Enjoy a relaxing scalp massage and treatment or renew your feet and hands with a polish and pedicure for this Spring. All moms who attend a salon service will receive a free sample product with their service.

1:00 – 2:45 p.m. -and- 5:15 – 7:00 p.m.

Royal Icing Cookie Decorating

Ever wanted to turn a plain cookie into a sweet masterpiece? Now’s your chance! In this hands-on, fun-filled class, participants will dive into the basics of cookie decorating with royal icing - no experience required! Step-by-step, participants will learn how to pipe, flood, and add eye-catching details to make cookies pop. By the end of the class, participants will have 6 beautifully decorated cookies.

Plant Sale

Discover student-grown wonders at the Arborist Club Plant Fair in our cafeteria! From hanging baskets to native prairie plants, herbs to succulents, ferns to house plants, and veggie plants, there’s something for everyone. The only cost for this event is the price of what you take home.
