Free family event features trick-or-treating, activities and outdoor movie

Mid-State Technical College invites families and community members to dress up and join the fun at Monster March at Mid-State, a free Halloween celebration Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Wisconsin Rapids Campus.

From 4 to 6 p.m., families can trick-or-treat through the halls of Mid-State while exploring the campus and experiencing some of the College’s programs and activities along the way. Attendees can also enter to win door prizes and meet Mid-State’s mascot, Grit.

New this year, the Halloween fun will continue with an outdoor showing of “Minions and Monsters” on a 33-foot screen in the campus courtyard. The movie will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run until approximately 7 p.m., weather permitting. Popcorn will be available, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for the show.

Monster March begins at the Wisconsin Rapids Campus main entrance near the flagpole. Families can pick up a map and follow a trail of Cougar Paws through campus as they visit trick-or-treat stops.

The event is free and open to the public, no registration is required. Learn more at mstc.edu/monster-march.
