Mid-State Technical College is inviting community members to celebrate the completion of its Adams Campus remodel and expansion with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The community open house will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Adams Campus, 401 North Main St. Remarks and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. Community members are welcome to stop in throughout the open house to tour the expanded campus, explore Mid-State programs and career pathways and learn about education and training opportunities available close to home.

The expansion brings new educational opportunities to Adams, including welding and construction trades programming as well as science-based lab courses in anatomy and physiology for health students. Previously, local health students needed to travel to Wisconsin Rapids for those lab courses.

“When we broke ground last year, we talked about the new opportunities this expansion would create for area residents,” said Rick Anderson, dean of Mid-State’s Adams Campus and School of Public Safety. “These new spaces allow us to bring more education and hands-on training to Adams while continuing to respond to the workforce needs of our community and local employers.”

During the open house, attendees will have opportunities to connect with Mid-State representatives, learn about enrolling at the College and explore workforce and employer training available through Mid-State.

The Adams Campus expansion was made possible in part by a $1.8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration for building renovations. The project broke ground in October 2025 as part of Mid-State’s continued efforts to expand access to education and training in Adams County.

The open house is free and open to the public.
