This course introduces current industry trends and salon ecology. Students will focus on infection control and the latest trends while continuing to develop their skills and proficiencies by providing a wide range of client-related services. Emphasizes client consultations, infection control, trends, proper business practices, professional attitudes, and refining techniques that will ensure entry-level preparedness for the Wisconsin licensing exam. Students complete this course by working in an on-campus beauty salon environment. In addition, students must complete 25 hours of on-the-job training (outside of the Mid-State salon and any other current employment location of the student) and secure approval from the course instructor.
