Description

This is a lab-based course. Content includes enhanced physical assessment, multiple routes of medication administration, infusion therapy, enteral and nasogastric tube management, maintenance of oxygenation, bladder management, central venous access and basic cardiac rhythm interpretation. Course information, learning activities and assignments are submitted through the learning management system, Blackboard and ATI (Assessment Technology Institute). Travel to the campus is required to practice technical skills and demonstrate competency. Open lab days/times vary. An on-campus final competency testing is coordinated with the course instructor.
