ScrapbookThis sample is in the tree biology lab. It shows rams horning which occurs on some hollow trees as the tree tries to support itself in spite of the defect in the trunk. Our program is based on tree biology as taught by Dr. Alex Shigo and many top researchers around the world.

ScrapbookCheck out our F-550 diesel, 4X4 aerial lift truck. This unit travels to every aerial tree pruning class where climbing rope and saddle is taught along with use of this truck for aerial tree work.

ScrapbookLori Berget brought her students to our Arbor Day program from Tri-County High School in Plainfield, WI. In this photo she shows off her MSTC Arbor Day T-Shirt.   ScrapbookThis is Mark Mozuch after he helped dig and pull a tree out of the ground in Tree Biology class to study root systems. We're not kidding when we say we're all about hands-on learning around here!   ScrapbookSomewhere in the top of this tree there is a climber doing aerial tree pruning because we trained them to do this safely and efficiently in our classes. Could this be you someday????

ScrapbookThis pond is just outside the Urban Forestry lab. All of the tree and shrub identification required within this program are planted around this pond for a quick study location between classes. All species are replicated two more times on our 160 acre campus as part of the Wisconsin Urban Forestry Education Center.
