This program provides you with the skills employers desire, such as pruning, plant healthcare, tree planting/maintenance, plant identification, tree risk assessment, and landscape installation/management.  Hands-on learning opportunities include aerial tree work, plant sales, campus landscape design/maintenance, chainsaw service projects, and tree identification. Graduates are eligible for careers in arboriculture, landscape management, and urban forestry.

Elective courses include a series of aerial tree pruning and rigging courses. These courses feature rope and saddle climbing techniques, aerial lifts, and brush chipper operation.

The Urban Forestry Technician program is offered at Wisconsin Rapids Campus. The Wisconsin Pesticide Certification Exam is given in this program.
