Overview
MSTC's Urban Forestry Technician program is truly unique. You'll find rewarding jobs wherever you go with an MSTC degree in this exciting field. The program prepares students for careers as plant health care technicians and arborists for commercial tree care companies.
Skills learned include planting, pruning, maintaining and removing urban trees. Additional skills include plant identification, plant health care, hazard tree assessment, tree preservation, landscape installation and tree maintenance plans. The Wisconsin Pesticide Certification Exam is given in class.
This program has credit transfer agreements with
UW-Stevens Point, UW-Stout and Capella University.
The Urban Forestry Technician program is an Associate in Applied Science Degree and offered at MSTC's Wisconsin Rapids campus. |
