Student Account & Data Retention Policy
Student accounts will remain available for 90 days after the end of a semester. After the 90 day period, the account will be changed to disabled status. This means the student will no longer be able to access MSTC network resources unless they re-enroll within five months. Upon re-enrollment, the account will be reactivated within two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester the student enrolled in.
If an account is placed in disabled status, the username, mailbox, and data are saved for 180 days beyond the end of the current semester. Therefore, if a student re-enrolls within the 180 day period, all files and email will be available as they were left. If the 180 day window has passed and the student has not enrolled for classes, the account and files will be completely deleted from the MSTC network.
NOTE: Modifications and additions to these Network Policies & Procedures will be posted to the Mid-State Technical College web site as they occur. Failure to read this policy does not excuse students from the requirements and regulations described herein.
