Access World News

Access World News Research Collection supports a wide range of academic disciplines, including political science, journalism, English, history, environmental studies, sociology, economics, education, business, social sciences, and more by providing more than 200 current and archive articles from thousands of U.S. and international sources.  It includes thousands of broadcast transcripts, newswires, video clips, and news blogs by providing extensive coverage at local, regional, national, and international levels.

Agricola (ProQuest)

This ProQuest database combines the complete database from the National Agricultural Library with hundreds of full text and full image articles, covering such publications as Agricultural Research Forest Products Journal, Journal of Animal Science, Journal of Nutrition, Journal of Agribusiness, Plant Physiology, and Veterinary Medicine.

Agriculture Journals (ProQuest)

ProQuest Agriculture Journals contains the leading agricultural journals published in North America. The database consists of over 700 titles, with more than 540 available in full-text.  ProQuest Agriculture Journals covers a wide range of agriculture-related topics.

Auto Repair Reference Center (EBSCOhost)

The Auto Repair Reference Center (ARRC) contains the complete automotive repair manuals that were originally published in the Chilton Total Car Care Series. The content includes more than 150 easy-to-read, illustrated auto repair manuals on all auto repair procedures for about 26,000 vehicles identified in the AAIA table (a table of numerical ID codes for every car made); approximately 70,000 Technical Service Bulletins; 100,000 enhanced wiring diagrams; over 150,000 factory drawings and step-by-step photographs; and labor time guide and estimates. Every major manufacturer for domestic and imported vehicles is represented including auto repair manuals for most vintage makes starting as far back as 1945. New repair procedures/updates are added continuously, and Technical Service Bulletins are added on a monthly or quarterly basis.

This ProQuest database contains abstracts and full text or full images for approximately 500 titles covering virtually every vocational and technical subject. Topics include computing science, healthcare, building trades, auto mechanics, sales and retail, accounting, graphic design, photography, nursing, and others. Collection covers 1991-present.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text (EBSCOhost)

CINAHL® Plus with Full Text covers nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health, and 17 allied health disciplines. It provides full text for over 770 journals and 275 books/monographs, and indexes more than 4,600 journals. In addition, this database offers access to health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, educational software, audiovisuals, and book chapters.

Consumer Health Complete (EBSCOhost)

Consumer Health Complete™ (CHC) provides content covering all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to the many perspectives of complementary, holistic, and integrated medicine. Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center

This Facts On File database is broken down into three main sections: Jobs, Skills, and Resources.  The Jobs section is organized into 16 Career Clusters and contains information on more than 3,300 jobs and 94 industries. The Skills section provides advice on applying for a job, acing an interview, behaving professionally in the work environment, and more—with more than 90 sample résumés and cover letters included. The Resources section includes more than 54,000 entries on scholarships, internships, and more, divided into easily browsable categories with searchable records. More than 290 videos present essential career information on both specific jobs and industries and on skills. The dictionary tool with more than 34,000 entries lets users look up unfamiliar words within articles without opening a new browser window.

On-line Medical Dictionary

OMD is a searchable dictionary that contains terms relating to biochemistry, cell biology, chemistry, medicine, molecular biology, physics, plant biology, radiobiology, science, and technology. Salem Health

Salem Health brings online access to Salem Press’ award-winning health reference works. The first reference set included is Salem Press’ bestselling Magill’s Medical Guide.
