Do you love the field of healthcare? Are you interested in computer/information technology and data analysis? If so, consider the Health Informatics and Information Management (HIIM) program at MSTC!

The HIIM program incorporates the disciplines of healthcare, management, finance, and information technology into one curriculum. This program prepares organized, detail-oriented people to be job-ready for the emerging world of electronic, comprehensive health record management and application. Courses are designed with realistic activities and lifelike assessments to help students apply newly acquired concepts and skills. You will utilize state-of-the-art virtual software that provides access to a health information management environment. Students will also participate in a clinical experience course during the last semester of the program.

The Health Informatics and Information Management program is is available primarily online and therefore not location dependent. The Health Informatics and Information Management program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) under the Associate Degree HIM standards.  Graduates are eligible to take the national certification exam offered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) for the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential.
