Clinical Research CoordinatorAssociate in Applied Science (AAS)
This program prepares you for efficient and ethical management of clinical research. Job responsibilities include organization, collaboration and coordination, data collection, recruiting, screening and enrolling participants, scheduling, ensuring accuracy of documentation, preliminary technical report writing, and initial protocol development which ensures good clinical practice.
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) program provides skills-based training and hands-on experience to ease the transition into a job. Education and training emphasis is placed on providing assistance in the research process related to regulatory compliance and other research projects.
There is a need for CRC graduates on a local and national level. Career opportunities are found in academic research facilities, hospitals, physician offices, contract research organizations, and biomedical research organizations.
Graduates may be eligible for professional certification after a year of work experience. The Clinical Research Coordinator program is offered at Marshfield Campus. However, most classes are offered online. An articulation agreement with University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point allows students to move into a bachelor’s degree program in Healthcare Administration following completion of the MSTC CRC program.
