Sorry to everyone for not posting in awhile. 4th semester has been a very busy semester for me! Not only am I working on all my course work but also it’s time to think about getting my resume in order and also looking to see what jobs are out there!! Being in 4th semester really changes things though………for instance you can handle the work load so much better and you’re also so excited to be in your 4th semester that you have a better outlook on everything!!! This Thursday and Friday will my last two days at clinical! I can’t believe I can finally say that!!!!! I have grown so much during these last two years as a nursing student. I go to clinical confident and feel prepared to take on a team of patients! It’s awesome. Even though it’s my last two days of clinical I always have goals! I am striving to get time management skills down and also prioritization! For anyone who is not having their last week of clinical my advice to you is to stay focused because you will get here, be well prepared for each clinical day, and take any opportunity you can to learn…this is where your skills grow and your general nursing care! Taking any opportunity I had to learn has really helped me grown as a nursing student! For example last week I had to put in three new IV’s in 45 minutes! I loved every minute of it! I got all three in on the first try!!
After this week comes to an end I will blog again and let everyone know how these last two days went!!!
