Going on with my education…

This past Tuesday I met with someone from one of the bsn@home campuses that does continuing education for associated degree nurses to move onto their bachelors.

I have to admit I was nervous when I went. I wasn’t sure what she would say about my grades, or if my idea of continuing on right away was a good idea or not.

When I walked in the counselor had a folder with my name on it and a bunch of information all ready and set for me to look at. This made me feel good that I wasn’t just another student she had to see. She put information pertaining specifically to my situation in the folder! My nerves immediately left me and I felt good about asking all the questions I had!! We started off by looking at the program requirements and she explained each step in detail. After all this she said she would go over my classes in detail to see what generals I may need to take and she would email me what her recommendations would be for me to continue on! Which I thought was great because this process can be confusing and she wanted to make sure I knew exactly what I had to do!

I left there feeling positive and sure about going on with my bachelors. I wasn’t discouraged at all about how many classes I was really facing or about having more school work!!

If anyone is thinking about going on after graduation I suggest looking into it and see what options are out there for you. The http://www.bsnathome.com  is so helpful and I suggest just navigating around the website and seeing what schools are out there and what classes are still needed for the bachelors.

Don’t get discouraged and be excited about your future!!
