MSTC Foundation’s 27th Annual Golf Outing approaching
June 5, 2014
Proceeds benefit student scholarships
The Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) Foundation is currently accepting registrations for its 27th annual golf outing. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 18 at Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids. All proceeds from the event go toward MSTC’s student scholarship program.
The event features a new theme each year; this year, participants will enjoy summer golf in a “Game Day” sports theme.
Check-in begins at 11:00 a.m. and participants will tee off at noon. The $85 per person registration fee includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and dinner.
“This annual golf outing raises more money for student scholarships than any other MSTC Foundation event over the course of the year,” said MSTC Foundation & Alumni Director Chris Maguire. “Monies from this outing and our other fundraisers help change lives, create hope, and assist students in realizing their academic and future dreams.”
Maguire also noted that there are still course sponsorship opportunities available.
“Knowing that people care about helping students reach our educational goals by offering scholarships to offset tuition worries is greatly appreciated” one recent scholarship recipient said.
Established in 1979, the mission of the Mid-State Technical College Foundation is to promote the college through the development and management of funds to provide student scholarships and grants, and to support the educational programs of the college to encourage life-long learning. The MSTC Foundation awarded over $200,000 to more than 300 students in the 2012-13 academic year. For more information, contact Maguire at 715.422.5322 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
