Topic is one of several explored in new Speaker Series from Mid-State Technical College
An upcoming presentation from Mid-State Technical College titled “Human Trafficking” sheds light on an important problem increasingly impacting Wisconsin. The presentation is sponsored by Mid-State’s Diversity Committee and takes place Tuesday, April 4, from 5:30–8:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Stevens Point and will be delivered by Lisa Sennholz, founder of Damascus Road, an organization dedicated to fighting the evil of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Participants will hear Sennholz’s full presentation in which she will share valuable information on the issue of human trafficking including warning signs to watch for in order to keep our communities safe from this criminal business. Questions are encouraged and welcomed.
The session is part of a series bringing Mid-State’s expertise on topics currently relevant to the community from February through May. There is no need to register to attend this or any presentation in Mid-State’s Speaker Series, and all sessions are free and open to the public.
