March 13, 2017
Topic is one of several explored in new Speaker Series from Mid-State Technical College
Young adults interested in farming will want to attend the upcoming presentation from Mid-State Technical College titled “Young Farmers and the Future of Agriculture.” The presentation will be delivered by Mike Sabel, Mid-State agribusiness instructor, and takes place Tuesday, March 28, from 7–10 p.m. on the Wisconsin Rapids campus, Auditorium L118. The session is part of a series bringing Mid-State’s expertise on hot topics to the community from February through May.
Participants will enjoy an overview of agriculture in central Wisconsin and explore what is involved in crop and livestock production as well as the costs of producing human food. Farmer age and income levels will be shared as well as cost of production for a variety of farm products. Questions are encouraged and welcomed, and time will be set aside for questions.
There is no need to register to attend this or any presentation in Mid-State’s Speaker Series, and all sessions are free and open to the public. Find information about this and other upcoming topics at www.mstc.edu/speakerseries.
