Medical AssistantTechnical Diploma
A trip to the doctor’s office reveals just how busy physicians are—and just how much they rely on their medical assistants. Medical assistants are at the heart of healthcare, performing a wide variety of indispensable tasks that keep the office humming efficiently. It’s also a profession that requires nurturing and compassion, making it a meaningful career for almost everyone who chooses it.
A Closer Look
In a given day, medical assistants may offer patients support by providing effective communication, performing vital signs and other medical procedures, preparing rooms and medical equipment, and assisting with medical coding and billing.
Medical assistants also assist with lab procedures, administer medications, and recognize and deal with emergencies on a daily basis.
