Spotlight on Health

Mid-State invites high school students, their parents, and community members to a spotlight on its health programs!

The Spotlight on Health Careers is an informative and engaging way for community members, employers, and prospective students to gain a better understanding of these in-demand careers and the education Mid-State provides to prepare our graduates for success.

Event participants will be able to explore hands-on demo stations of Mid-State’s allied health programs, including EMT, Nursing, Nursing Assistant, Respiratory Therapist, Medical Assistant, Central Service Technician, Surgical Technologist, and Phlebotomy Technician.

Event Highlights

  • Open house format
  • Short presentation on program updates and Dual Credit opportunities from academic leadership
  • Hands-on lab demos of what Mid-State students learn in the classroom
  • Faculty meet-and-greet with the community

Time – 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.*

*Dr. Matthew Jansen of Marshfield Clinic Health System will be presenting on collaborative efforts and will emphasize the need for trained staff at 5:30pm.
