LIBRARY SERVICES MANAGER

Library Services Manager at Mid-State Technical College.  This is a full-time, full year management position reporting to the Director of College Advancement.

START DATE:  Immediately

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Library Services Manager has college-wide responsibility over three campus libraries for the management of print, audio, visual, and electronic learning resources.  Responsibilities include:

• technology vision and implementation
• creation of virtual library services
• learning services and materials acquisition and maintenance
• development and delivery of instructional library services
• planning, budgeting, and staffing
• facility and equipment management
• internal and external communication and collaboration
• supervision of the Wisconsin Rapids library staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or a related degree from an ALA accredited program.
• Prior library management experience including staff supervision required, preferably in an educational, union environment.
• One year of occupational experience in a non-educational setting.
• Enthusiastic champion of library and information services.
• Knowledge and experience with automated library systems (such as Voyager), electronic databases, and a demonstrated interest in new and emerging technologies.
• Knowledge of and skill in Library of Congress subject headings and cataloging.
• Budget preparation and management experience.
