Custodian I at Mid-State Technical College - Wisconsin Rapids Campus. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week for 52 weeks per year. Normal work schedule is afternoon and evening hours; hours may vary to meet college needs.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work under the supervision of the Facilities Director.
- Perform building cleaning assignments on a daily basis.
- Maintain grounds, campus roads, sidewalks, and parking lots, including lawn mowing, trimming, irrigation, and snow removal.
- Responsible for building inspection and security.
- Perform weekend and holiday building checks as assigned.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs to buildings and equipment as assigned.
- Operate vehicles and perform routine vehicle maintenance.
- Perform various support services, such as room setup and distribution of supplies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or high school equivalency required.
- Prior custodial/maintenance experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Computer skills required.
- Must be physically able to complete cleaning, grounds maintenance, and routine building and equipment maintenance tasks and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
- Must be available to report for work on short notice during emergencies.
- Must exhibit a demonstrated interest, enthusiasm, and positive disposition toward working cooperatively in a team environment.

WAGES: Hourly wage based on negotiated contract.
