ACCOUNTING INSTRUCTOR - **REVISED**
Stevens Point Campus

Accounting Instructor in the Business Division at Mid-State Technical College - Stevens Point Campus. This is a full-time position with a 38-week contract; work hours may vary from traditional daytime schedule. Position reports to the Stevens Point Campus Dean.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  
Teach various courses in the Accounting program and other related courses. Assist in program planning, curriculum development, and the ongoing maintenance of the Accounting program and related courses. Responsible for classroom management, student evaluation, and records maintenance. Assist with student recruitment, registration, advisement, and placement. Assist with program budget development, maintenance of equipment and inventory, advisory committees, and co-curricular student activities. Maintain technical skills to current business standards. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting or a related field; Accounting-related Master's Degree preferred. Certified Public Accountant designation desirable.
  • Minimum of two years (4,000 hours) of accounting work experience.
  • Post-secondary teaching experience with online delivery and development desirable.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good organizational skills, positive interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills in educating adult learners.

SALARY:  Dependent upon qualifications, but consistent with current salary schedule.
