Renewable Electricity Technician Instructor in the Technical and Industrial Division of Mid-State Technical College. This is a full-time position with a 38-week contract; work hours may vary from traditional daytime schedule. Position reports to the Technical and Industrial Division Associate Dean.
START DATE: July 1, 2008
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Teach courses in renewable electricity technology with emphasis on installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic and small wind systems and related on-site electric generation technologies. Additional teaching responsibilities include electric metering installation, service, and repair. Assist in program planning, curriculum development, and the ongoing maintenance of the Renewable Electricity Technician Associate Degree Program. Assist with program budget development and maintenance of equipment and inventory. Responsible for classroom management, student evaluation, and records maintenance. Assist with student recruitment, registration, advisement, and placement. Assist with advisory committees and co-curricular student activities. Maintain technical skills to current industry standards. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SALARY: Dependent upon qualifications, but consistent with current salary schedule.
