Senior Human Resources Generalist at Mid-State Technical College. Position is located at the Wisconsin Rapids Campus, but has District-wide responsibilities. This is a full-time, 52-week per year position. The Senior Human Resources Generalist reports to the Vice President of Human Resources.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  
The Senior Human Resources Generalist has responsibility for staff recruitment, employment, and orientation; benefits administration; performance appraisal and compensation administration; federal and state employment law compliance; and equal opportunity/affirmative action plan development and annual reporting. This position also participates in labor relations negotiations; policy and procedure administration; and staff training and development activities; and is assigned special projects as needed..

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Bachelor's Degree required in human resources or a related field, such as business or communications, with a human resources emphasis; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Human resources certification desirable.
  • Minimum of seven years occupational experience in human resources with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proven knowledge/application of employment law and human resources policies and practices.
  • Must possess excellent problem resolution, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn college-specific software applications and computer programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers.

SALARY:  Dependent upon qualifications and experience.
