Business Technology Instructor in the Business Division at Mid-State Technical College - Wisconsin Rapids Campus.  This is a full-time position with a 38-week contract; work hours may vary from traditional daytime schedule. Position reports to the Business Division Dean.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  
Teach various courses in the Administrative Assistant and Office Support Specialist programs and related courses.  Assist in program planning, curriculum development, and the ongoing maintenance of the Administrative Assistant and Office Support Specialist programs and related courses.  Responsible for classroom management, student evaluation, and records maintenance.  Assist with student recruitment, registration, advisement, and placement.  Assist with program budget development, maintenance of equipment and inventory, advisory committees, and co-curricular student activities.  Maintain technical skills to current business standards.  Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Bachelor's Degree required in a business-related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years (4,000 hours) of non-teaching, business technology work experience.
  • Post-secondary teaching experience and familiarity with online development and delivery desirable.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good organizational skills, positive interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills in educating adult learners.

SALARY:  Dependent upon qualifications, but consistent with current salary schedule.
