Ready to take the next step?

To apply to the Cosmetology & Barbering program, please submit the following to the
MSTC Student Affairs Admissions Office:

Complete a WTCS application form or

Include a $30 non-refundable application fee payable to MSTC.

Complete an Accuplacer entrance examination. (Other test scores may be acceptable alternatives.)

	Reading - Accuplacer score of 67 or equivalent
	Language - Accuplacer score of 67 or equivalent
	Math - Accuplacer score of 48 or equivalent

Students must have good fine motor skills, especially finger dexterity, good eye/hand coordination and 20/40 vision in best eye with 70 degree to each side for peripheral vision, as determined by the Department of Transportation.

Licensure Requirements: 454.06 Licensure. (1) Application: All applications for licenses under this section shall be filed with the examining board. No initial license may be issued under this section unless all of the following conditions are satisfied.

The applicant pays the fee
Applicant presents evidence satisfactory to the examining board that he/she has not been convicted of a felony committed while engaged in the practice of barbering or cosmetology.
Graduation from high school or earned a High School Graduation Equivalency diploma; or participating in a program approved by examining board; or is at least 18 years old and meets the ability to benefit rule.

Submit an official copy of your high school transcript or GED/HSED scores.

Submit other college/university official transcripts for review of transfer credit.
