Overview
Civil Engineering Technology-Highway Technician graduates are trained for a variety of municipal and construction jobs in street and highway construction; sewer and water systems; and railroad, pipeline, power line, dam, canal and airport construction.
Work in support of civil engineers, designers, surveyors and city planners. If you enjoy getting out in the field on a regular basis, but also appreciate applying knowledge gained back in the office using advanced technology, this program is for you.
Topics covered include drafting, computer drafting, estimating, system design, mapping and inspection procedures.
This program has credit transfer agreements with UW-Stout, Capella University, Franklin University and Upper Iowa University.
The Civil Engineering Technology-Highway Technician program is an Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS) and offered at MSTC's Wisconsin Rapids campus.
