Pay Your Tuition

Important: Registering for a class creates an obligation to pay. You can view your account information and amount owed anytime by logging into your MyMSTC account.

Complete one of the following options prior to the tuition due date for each semester:
  1. Complete tuition arrangements with financial aid or other outside funding.
  2. Pay tuition Online - ​Log in to the Student Account Suite using your MyMSTC username and password.
  3. Pay your tuition to Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) at a campus office location, or by mailing payment so that it is received by the tuition due date. 

MSTC’s preferred method of payment is online via an electronic check or debit card. Please note that using a credit card incurs additional costs to MSTC.

You will be asked for your information including bank routing and account numbers or a debit/credit card number. Enter your balance as shown on your MyMSTC account. A $25 set up fee is applicable per semester to enroll into MSTC’s payment plan.

Important: If you have not made full payment or arranged for a payment option (as described above) by the assigned tuition due dates, a $40 late fee will be assessed to your account.

The Business Services Office may refer students with past due and outstanding tuition and fee obligations to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, an outside agency for collection, and/or credit bureau reporting agencies.

Is there an Application for Admission deadline?

MSTC continuously accepts applications for admission.

Do college graduates still need to provide high school transcripts?

Yes, but only if your program requires transcripts.

Will a GED or HSED be accepted in lieu of a high school diploma?

Yes. Contact the institution that awarded your GED/HSED and have them send your test scores directly to MSTC.

How do I know if I’ve been admitted to a program?

Once you have completed all admissions requirements, you will receive a letter indicating you have been accepted.

What are official transcripts?

Official transcripts are transcripts with the school's seal sent directly from the school you attended previously.

Is there a fee to take the Accuplacer?

Yes. There is a $20 fee to take the Accuplacer.

When can I take the Accuplacer?

The Accuplacer is offered on a daily basis

Do I need to be admitted to a program to take classes at MSTC?

No. Anyone can register for most General Studies classes.

Do I need to take an entrance assessment to be admitted to MSTC & my program?

MSTC requires most new students to complete the Accuplacer prior to acceptance into a program.

MSTC needs a copy of my transcripts. Can I send a copy of the one I have?

No. MSTC requires all transcripts to be official.

If I’ve taken the Accuplacer or ACT in the past, can MSTC use those scores?

Yes. The scores can be used if the test has been taken within the past five years.

How does MSTC tuition compare to tuition for a four-year public university?

On average, an MSTC education costs 45% less than two years at a public university.

I applied to MSTC in the past. Do I need to repay my application fee?

The $30 application fee is a one-time fee.
