Mid-State Technical College has established a fee structure in accordance with the Wisconsin Technical College System and state statutes. Fees may vary from year to year and are subject to change. Payment of fees is required to complete the admission and registration process.		Audit Fee for Age 60 Students who are 60 years of age and who will be enrolling in a course for audit purposes, are eligible for a discounted rate. Age 62 and Above Discount Persons age 62 and over are exempt from paying tuition and fees for non-credit, continuing education courses. Persons age 62 and above are still required to pay registration fees where applicable. Course Audit Tuition and Fees Students are required to pay the same tuition and fees as credit students and a permanent record is maintained. Students are required to process any change through the Campus Office. Courses taken for audit are not applied toward full-time status and/or financial aid eligibility. Minnesota Reciprocity for Tuition and Fees Students whose permanent address is located in Minnesota are eligible under the Wisconsin-Minnesota Tuition Reciprocity agreement to pay in-state tuition rates and fees as long as they are enrolled. Midwest Student Exchange Program Students who enroll at MSTC in associate degree programs, who are from states that are members of the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC)may be eligible for a program and fee rate that is 150% of the in-state tuition rates. Students whose permanent addresses are located in the following states: Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska and North Dakota are eligible for this discount and are automatically coded for this discount upon admission to MSTC.Funding Your Education - .pdf
1.	Application fee ($30) – required to be submitted with the application form. The application fee is non-refundable and does not apply toward other fees.
2.	District tuition ($92.05 per credit-2007-2008, subject to change annually). Tuition is charged for all associate, technical, certificate and apprenticeship credits. Out-of-State Tuition ($478.50 per credit-2007-2008. Subject to change annually.).
3.	Incidental fee (5% per credit) – charged each semester to help cover student activities, such as the school newspaper and student government, and to help support various clubs, sports and social events.
4.	Graduation fee ($25) – helps defray the expenses of graduation and placement assistance for graduates.
5.	Malpractice insurance ($13.50) – required of students enrolled in the Service & Health programs.
6.	Wisconsin Criminal History Record Check (non-refundable $10.00 fee, the fee includes a $7.50 Department of Justice charge and a $2.50 MSTC processing fee for all health programs except Certified Nursing Assistant.
7.	Material fee – varies with each course, and covers the cost of materials used by a student in each course.
8.	Textbooks and supplies. Students are required to purchase their own textbooks and supplies. Text rental is available for all General Eudcation courses. Fees and costs vary by course.
9.	Online Course Fee - $10.00 per credit (minimum fee of $10.00 for courses less than 1-credit). Charged for all online courses.
