Three Appointed to MSTC Board - July 1
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Three persons were appointed to the Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) Board of Directors Wednesday evening by the Board Appointment Committee, whose members represent eight county boards within the MSTC District boundaries. Randall Dhein, Joseph Kinsella and Dr. Alice Randlett were each appointed to three-year terms.

Dhein, 2669 Swiggum Lane, Port Edwards, is employed at Erco Worldwide. He has served on the MSTC Board of Directors since 1997. Kinsella, 5426 Cardinal Drive, Stevens Point, has served on the MSTC Board since 2001. He is the President of Pointe Precision, LLC, Plover. Randlett, 1217 Lindbergh Avenue, Stevens Point, is a Professor-Emerita from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and has served on the MSTC Board since 1995.

County Board supervisors who participated in the selection were Cynthia Loken, Adams County; Philip Idsvoog, Portage County; Norman Weiss, Waushara County; and Lance Pliml, Committee Chairman, Wood County. Pliml said the MSTC board operates in a highly efficient and effective manner. “This is an extremely important institution. One example is how the college serves area employers by providing excellent training to students which contributes greatly to the development of the region’s workforce.”

The MSTC Board is comprised of nine members who represent five categories: employer (2), employee (2), additional members (3), one school district administrator, and one elected official. Pending certification by the Wisconsin Technical College System Board, the appointments to the MSTC Board of Directors will begin July 1.
