Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) has hired two new employees: Karl Easttorp and Erin Wnuk.

Karl Easttorp
Easttorp, Wisconsin Rapids, is the director of communications. He is responsible for various internal and external college communications, serves as media liaison for the College and manages the development of college promotional and marketing publications/materials. Most recently, he was employed as the director of community relations and recreation center director with Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, OR. Prior to that, he was the director of athletics for Portland Community College in Portland, OR and the director of programming/marketing for The Hoop, a sports and event facility in Beaverton, OR. Easttorp earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration-Marketing Management from Oregon State University and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon.

Erin Wnuk
Wnuk, Stevens Point, is the student accounts coordinator. She oversees student accounts with responsibility for the Oracle/PeopleSoft Student Financials system and for maintaining and developing business and systems processes to perform efficient and effective workflow of student account activities. Most recently, she was employed as an accountant with Joerns Healthcare in Stevens Point. Prior to that, she worked with NewPage Corporation, where she held various positions including financial services supervisor, AP integration analyst and treasury analyst. She also worked at Associated Bank and Pioneer Bank in the position of teller supervisor. Wnuk earned a bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance from Lakeland College and an associate’s degree in Business Administration from MSTC. She is currently in the process of completing a master’s degree in Business-Project Management from Lakeland College.
