In celebration of the Foundation’s 30th anniversary of scholarship distribution, the Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) Foundation is holding a raffle with the grand prize valued at $3,000. Raffle prize winners will be announced during the Nekoosa Giant Pumpkin Festival, Sunday, October 2 at 3:30 p.m.

According to Chris Maguire, Foundation & Alumni Director, a giant pumpkin will be filled with a maximum of 1000 purchased and numbered ping pong balls that will be dropped from a crane at Sunday’s giant pumpkin drop. “The closest ball to the bull’s eye target will win $3,000. Don’t miss your chance for a great cash prize and at the same time, help provide scholarships to MSTC students,” said Maguire. The Foundation is offering a total of seven raffle prizes including the $3,000 grand prize; second and third place prizes, each valued at $1,000; fourth and fifth place prizes, each valued at $500; and sixth and seventh place prizes, each valued at $250. Maguire said raffle winners need not be present. “A maximum of 1000 raffle tickets will be sold with the cost for one ticket at $20 and three tickets for $50.” She added that the cash prizes will be prorated based on the percentage of sales.
