New Employees at MSTC

Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) has hired three new employees: Sheila Bluhm, Matt Manicki and Bob Smith.
 
Sheila Bluhm

Sheila Bluhm
She is a sociology instructor at the Wisconsin Rapids campus. She was recently an assistant professor of sociology at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Prior to that, she taught in the Department of Sociology at the University of Michigan, was a visiting professor at Hope College and an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University, Michigan. Bluhm earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Michigan and a master of arts and doctorate degrees in Sociology from Western Michigan University.

Matthew Manicki

Matt Manicki
He is an automotive technology instructor at the Wisconsin Rapids campus. As an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Certified Technician, he joins MSTC with eight years of experience working as an automotive technician at various auto centers/shops, including four years at Collector’s Choice LTD. Most recently, he taught as an instructor at Tuner School LLC, Sealy, Texas. Prior to that, he was an adjunct instructor at Chippewa Valley Technical College where he taught courses in electricity, brakes, engines and computer systems. Manicki earned a bachelor’s degree in Career and Technical Education and Training from the University of Wisconsin–Stout and a diploma in Automotive and Diesel Technology from Universal Technical Institute, Glendale Heights, Illinois

Bob Smith

Bob Smith
He is an accounting instructor at the Stevens Point campus. As a Licensed Certified Public Accountant, he has over twenty years of experience in accounting. Most recently, he was employed with Wausau Paper Corporation as a general accountant and also with Koenig & Lundin, CPAs as a senior tax accountant. Prior to that, he was a district manager and franchisee of H&R Block. He gained teaching experience as an adjunct instructor with NorthCentral Technical College. Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point.
