| Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) has hired two new employees, Deborah Clarke and Alexandra Fisher, and promoted three employees, Patty Fairchild, Janet Newman and Lea Ann Turner. |

She is a Service & Health associate dean. She has management responsibility for coordinating and supervising the allied health and service programs at MSTC’s Marshfield Campus. Previously, Clarke was dean of faculty at Globe University, Wausau. She also spent seven years with Northcentral Technical College where she held the positions of campus dean, academic dean and assistant dean. Prior to that, Clarke was employed with Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington as student life administrator and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh as a residence hall director. Clarke has taught Business and Supervisory Management courses as an adjunct instructor in the Wisconsin Technical College System. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Dance Education from Minnesota State University-Mankato and a master’s degree in Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University. |

She is a division assistant at the Marshfield Campus. She provides office support to various campus programs, faculty and staff and serves as evening customer service in the library. For the past four years, she served in the U.S. Army and held the positions of battalion medical officer and health care non-commissioned officer. Most recently, she held the position of wounded warrior program coordinator. |

She has accepted the position of director of college advancement. In her new position, she has management responsibilities for the college accreditation process, various academic-related activities and learning technology, grants development and technology center functions. She began her employment with MSTC in 2007 as the online support specialist and later held the position of learning technology manager. Prior to her experience at MSTC, she was the director of distance learning and was a computer instructor at Northeast Iowa Community College. She also taught in Iowa public school districts for a number of years and has owned a computer consulting and training business. Fairchild earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Luther College in Iowa and a Master of Arts Degree in Technology in Education from Clarke College in Dubuque. |

She has accepted the position of dean for the Service & Health Division. She has college-wide management responsibilities for the development, coordination and supervision of educational and operational activities of the Service & Health Division. She began her employment with MSTC in 2008 as a Service & Health associate dean at the Marshfield Campus. Prior to joining MSTC, she held various management positions at Northcentral Technical College, the YWCA of Wausau and UW-Marathon County and has also taught at the high school level and lectured in the University of Wisconsin System. Newman earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Winona State University and a master’s degree in Communication from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. |

She has accepted the position of learning technology manager. In her new position, she provides on-going faculty support related to the College’s learning management system, as well as oversee the Employee Development Center, Faculty Resource Centers and associated training for faculty and staff. She began her employment with MSTC in 2009 as an instructional technology coordinator. Prior to her experience at MSTC, she was a teacher, instructional technologist and webmaster for Temple Independent School District in Temple, Texas and spent several years teaching in Texas public school districts. Turner earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Academics from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and a master’s degree in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. |
