The Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) Foundation is pleased to announce its spring scholarship recipients. Listed below are the scholarship titles, monetary amounts, student recipients, their community residences and academic programs in which they are enrolled.
2010 Mid-Year Scholarship: Six $500 scholarships were awarded to new full-time students who enrolled in January. Recipients include: Tony Bowen, Hancock, Urban Forestry Technician; Brittney Binder, Marshfield, Business Management; Michael Bahrke, Plover, Business Management; Dianne Chappel, Stevens Point, Accounting; Andrew Grusczynski, IT-Programmer/Analyst and Sara Senn, Business Management, Wisconsin Rapids.
Wisconsin Hospital Association Foundation (WHA): Established in 2003 for final semester degreed healthcare program students, the WHA provides two annual full tuition awards (up to $2,000) to each of the sixteen Wisconsin technical colleges. The MSTC recipient is Anita Ahlborn, Amherst, Respiratory Therapist.
Claude V. Ostram Memorial Scholarship: Established in 2009 for Welding program students, the scholarship award is $250. The 2010 recipient is Matthew Schoff, Wisconsin Rapids.
Umhoefer Foundation: Established in 2009 for Marshfield area students enrolled in the
Farm Operations program, the scholarship awards up to $500. The 2010 recipients are Joseph Gilbertson and Bradley Sternweis, Marshfield.
