New Employees at MSTC

Mid-State Technical College has hired eight new employees: Kelly Bauer, Cole Brockman, Maria Hernandez, Analyn Hilgard, Courtney Kostuchowski, Amy Schultz, Janet Tuchscher and Matt Vrazel. In addition, one employee, Barb Jascor, was promoted to a new position.

   
Kelly Bauer

Bauer, Stratford, is a Custodian at the Marshfield campus. She was previously employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the Environmental Services area and at the UW Agricultural Research Station where she provided lab assistance and janitorial duties in the Soil and Forage Lab.

   
Cole Brockman

Brockman, Stevens Point, is the Web Master. He oversees and manages the development, implementation and enhancement of MSTC’s web initiatives. Previously, he was employed with Jones Publishing, Inc., Iola as Web Developer/IT Support where he was responsible for the development of new applications and websites as well as providing IT support to employees and customers. Brockman earned a bachelor’s degree in Web and Digital Media Development from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point.

   
Maria Hernandez

Hernandez, Plover, is the Library Services Manager. She has district wide responsibility for the management of print, audio, visual and electronic learning resources. Most recently, she was employed by the University of Wisconsin–Madison as a Circulation Supervisor. Prior to that, she completed internships in the Recorded Media Archive at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and the Media Assets Archive at Fiskars Brands. Hernandez earned a master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a bachelor’s degree in Language and World Business and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.

   
Analyn Hilgard

Hilgard, Wisconsin Rapids, is an Office Assistant at the Wisconsin Rapids campus. She provides customer service and general office support in the Campus Office. For the past three years, she was employed as a Customer Service Representative and Pharmacy Specialist with RESTAT, LLC, West Bend and also gained office experience while working at Time Investments Co., West Bend and Mindanao State University in General Santos, Philippines. Hilgard has an associate degree in Computer Science from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University and an associate degree in Office Management from Systems Technology Institute.

   
Courtney Kostuchowski

Kostuchowski, Stevens Point, is a Criminal Justice Instructor. For the past six years, she worked as a Probation/Parole Agent for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Kostuchowski spent two years with the Weyauwega Police Department as a Police School Liaison Officer/Patrol Officer. She also held positions with the Fremont Police Department and Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department. Kostuchowski earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Silver Lake College and an associate degree in Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement from Mid-State Technical College.

   
Amy Schultz

Schultz, Spencer, is an Office Assistant at the Marshfield campus. She provides customer service and general office support in the Campus Office. For the past three years, she was employed as a Communications Officer for the Wood County Dispatch. Prior to that, Schultz worked for Three Oaks in Marshfield in various positions including Business Office Assistant/Receptionist and Medical Transcriptionist.

   
Janet Tuscher

Tuchscher, Marshfield, is a Division Assistant at the Marshfield campus. She provides office support to various campus programs, faculty and staff and evening customer service in the library. Most recently, she was employed with Marshfield Door Systems, Inc. as a Workers Compensation/Safety Representative. Prior to that, she spent five years with Weyerhaeuser Company in the roles of Administrative Assistant and Environmental Technician. Tuchscher’s earlier employment included positions of Finance Clerk and Secretary for the City of Casa Grande in Arizona.

   
Matt Vrazel

Vrazel, Wisconsin Rapids, is the Energy Efficiency Technician Instructor. Recently, he was a Research Scientist with Louisiana-Pacific Building Products in Franklin, TN. Prior to that, he was a Technical Service Representative for Dynea USA, Inc. and a Special Projects Manager with Overseas Hardwoods Company, Inc. Vrazel earned bachelor’s and master’s of science degrees in Forest Products from Mississippi State University. In 2008, he was recognized by the Green Building Certification Institute as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional.

   
 

Jascor, Plover, is a Service & Health Division Associate Dean. She has district wide management responsibility for development, coordination and supervision of various educational activities related to fire training and emergency management. Since 1997, she was an instructor in MSTC’s Criminal Justice-Corrections program. Prior to joining MSTC, Jascor was employed with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and held the positions of Probation/Parole Agent, Institution Social Worker and Correctional Officer. She earned a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana State University and a bachelor’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Carroll College.
