WISCONSIN RAPIDS - The Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) Foundation is pleased to announce the following scholarships awarded to MSTC students during spring semester:

2008 Mid-Year Scholarship: Six $500 scholarships were awarded to new full-time students who began in January. Recipients include: Jordan Clark, Wisconsin Rapids, Respiratory Therapy; Michael Conant, Rosholt, IT-Programmer/Analyst; Tammy Grassel, Plover, Business Management; Erica Pickett, Stevens Point, Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement; Maxine Sprague, Adams, Business Management; and Rhonda Suchon, Plover, Biomedical Informatics Technician. |

Dan and Jeannine Meyer Donor Advised Awards: Laura Borgen, Amherst, and Jodi Simcakoski, Stevens Point, received $500 awards. Both recipients are first semester nursing students on the Wisconsin Rapids campus. |

Mid-State Student Nurses' Association (MSNA): Members of MSNA sponsor two scholarships each semester, which are matched by the Foundation. Mary Brockman and Zandra Morgan, Wisconsin Rapids, each received a $500 award. |

Stephen W. Kage Scholarship: Established by Civil Engineering alumnus in December 2003, the $700 scholarship was awarded to Nathaniel Trzebiatowski, Amherst, Civil Engineering Technology-Highway Technician. |

Richard Kostuchowski Memorial Scholarship: Established for MSTC Criminal Justice students in March 2004 in honor of the late Richard Kostuchowski, the $500 scholarship was awarded to Katie Lyp, Port Edwards, Criminal Justice-Corrections. |

Wisconsin Hospital Association Foundation (WHA): Established in 2003 for final semester nursing students, the WHA provides two annual full-tuition awards (up to $2,000) to each of the sixteen technical colleges. MSTC recipients are Roxanne Herman, Wisconsin Rapids, and Liza Sternitsky, Granton. |
