MARSHFIELD - Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) will host an Adult Information Night, referred to as It's Your Turn, at the Marshfield campus, 2600 W. Fifth Street, Tuesday, November 6 from 6-7:30 p.m. During It's Your Turn, individuals will have an opportunity to learn about the challenges and opportunities that returning to school presents to the adult learner and how to navigate through those experiences. "Maybe it's been five years since someone has been in school or even 30 years; the first step is always the hardest. That's why we've set aside a special night to help 'older adults' get beyond that first difficult step," said Brenda Dillenburg, Campus Dean.
Presentations about MSTC career programs and services available to the adult learner as well as how to begin the admissions process will be presented in an informal and relaxing environment. "It's never too late to explore new career possibilities," said Dillenburg. "We know that when considering going to college, adult learners may have a unique set of fears, particularly for the 'unknown'," said Dillenburg. During It's Your Turn, individuals will have an opportunity to have their questions answered and to meet individually with an enrollment advisor, financial aid representative or program counselor.
Pre-registration is strongly recommended for MSTC's It's Your Turn. Call the college's toll-free number at 1-888-575-MSTC for further information, or visit its website at mstc.edu.
