STEVENS POINT - Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) will host the 2007 Tech Expo on Saturday, October 6 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Stevens Point Centerpoint Marketplace. Tech Expo is produced by MSTC Information Technology Customer Support and Marketing students. It is designed to be an outreach of MSTC into the Stevens Point community with the purpose of educating community members on a wide range of PC topics including email and Internet security, hardware and software applications and more efficient computer usage.
Is your computer acting up at home? Do you have trouble understanding a computer? Do you have questions about computer software and parental controls? Bring all of your computer questions to the Tech Expo. There is no fee for any assistance you receive at Tech Expo and it is a great event for all ages, whether you are just starting to use a computer and need to know the basics, or if you are advanced in your computer skills and want to learn more.
Topics covered include how to use email and set up a free account, parental controls on computers, anti-virus software, Internet connections, how to install programs, blogging, understanding your PC and much more! Tech Expo coincides with the 4th annual Harvest Fest in downtown Stevens Point. Parents are encouraged to bring their children to Tech Expo as there will be activities for them as well. Attend Tech Expo and make it a fun learning experience for the whole family! For additional information, contact MSTC's Stevens Point campus at (715) 344-3063.
