WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Mid-State Technical College Foundation & Alumni Director Chris Maguire announced the addition of seven new members to its board of directors: Terry Dolan, Kristin Duckart, Mike Lange, Linda Pelton, Jill Steckbauer, Craig Timm and Dave Wesener.
Dolan, Wisconsin Rapids, is an Operations Leader at Stora Enso's Sheeting Plant. He has been active in board governance with the Community Foundation of South Wood County and is an alumnus of MSTC and Lakeland College.
Duckart, Wisconsin Rapids, is the Executive Director of Saint Michael's Foundation. She has served many non-profit organizations including the Arts Council of South Wood County, South Wood County United Way, South Wood County 2000 and Junior Achievement. As a Rotarian, Duckart has also been involved in several international humanitarian initiatives.
Lange, Wisconsin Rapids, has over 15 years experience in the healthcare industry at Riverview Hospital Association, most recently as Administrative Director of Laboratory Services. He previously served on the Board of Directors of Child Care Resource and Referral of Central Wisconsin.
Pelton, Mosinee, is the Division Administrator responsible for ambulatory services at Marshfield Clinic. She has over 25 years experience in the healthcare industry in North Dakota and Marshfield. Pelton is active on multiple clinic committees, the Children's Miracle Network and Make a Wish Foundation.
Steckbauer, Coloma, is the Marketing Specialist for NRG Media in Stevens Point. She serves as ambassador for the Heart of Wisconsin Business and Economic Alliance, is active with the Children's Miracle Network, a member of Wisconsin Rapids Kiwanis and a member of the MSTC Marketing Advisory Committee.
Timm, Wisconsin Rapids, is the Communications and Government Relations Manager at Domtar Industries. Previously, he was MSTC's Public Information & Foundation Director. Timm previously
Served as a Foundation Board member, with an active role on the Investment Committee.
Dave Wesener, Wisconsin Rapids, is a Lieutenant in the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department. Active in leadership roles for United Way of South Wood County, Wesener is past president of the Wisconsin Rapids Boys and Girls Club, current campaign chair and congregation president for St. Lukes Lutheran Church and an active Rotarian. He has served in an advisory capacity for MSTC and as an adjunct and recruit program instructor for MSTC's Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement program.
Maguire said returning MSTC Foundation board members include Sharon Witt, Marshfield; Don Kropidlowski, Plover; Jenifer Binder and Marg Coker-Nelson, Stevens Point; and Dave Kersten, Dan Meyer, John Moffat, Dr. Mel Schneeberg, Jim Shewchuk, Larry Turba and Mike Zurfluh, Wisconsin Rapids. Dr. John Clark, MSTC President, Mary Jo Green, Financial Aid Supervisor and Maguire also serve on the board. The board's new officers are Binder, President; Zurfluh, Vice President; Coker-Nelson, Secretary and Shewchuk, Treasurer. According to Maguire, during a recent board meeting, special recognition was given to outgoing President Larry Turba for his service and efforts on behalf of the MSTC Foundation.
