WISCONSIN RAPIDS - On Monday, August 6, MSTC launched its new website with added content, improved navigation and additional features, including individual program pages and program videos. The new site, at mstc.edu, offers an improved browsing experience for college-seekers and reflects a homepage with a billboard effect, vibrant visuals containing minimal text and links. In addition, its improved navigation means users will always be just a click or two away from key information and practical applications.

The website is designed to be the primary source of information for prospective students, parents, alumni, high school staff and donors. According to Connie Willfahrt, Vice President of Student Affairs & Information Technology, MSTC's web presence is rapidly becoming one of the college's primary methods of communication to both internal and external audiences. "The college's website is a critical marketing tool to reach potential students. In an era of text messages, iPods and instant messaging, technology is second nature to high school students and young adults. Based on feedback from students, we know they prefer to receive information via the web as it provides instant feedback," said Willfahrt. She added that the returning adult and/or the older adult learner is another key audience to reach so the website has an expanded section devoted to meet their needs.

A showcase for the college and a highly functional resource, the new site is easier to navigate and features large, sweeping photos of students and faculty. "The goal of our new website is to showcase MSTC programs and services and to make it easy to obtain information and apply to the college," said Willfahrt. She said the website is primarily intended to be a source of information and a resource for prospective students. "Streamlined navigation will make it easy for college-seekers to find information about admissions, financial aid, programs of study and student life. An online application makes it convenient to start the admissions process."

"I encourage everyone to explore and become familiar with MSTC's newly designed website at mstc.edu. If viewers have already visited the college's website in the past, they may need to refresh the page to see the new look," said Willfahrt "We know that pertinent content and easy navigation are critical and feel our new site provides both the information people want and ways that make the information easy to find," she added.
