WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Jennifer Sturgel, Nekoosa, was recently selected as Mid-State Technical College’s (MSTC) 2007 Student Ambassador. She is a marketing student at the Wisconsin Rapids campus. Earlier this month, Sturgel represented MSTC at the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Student Ambassador Conference in Madison. During the conference, she participated in professional growth seminars and activities with the other 15 technical college student ambassadors. Sturgel will promote technical college education at various events throughout the year.

Debra Wallner, Marketing & Business Instructor, nominated Sturgel. She said Sturgel exhibits all of the qualities that MSTC seeks in a Student Ambassador. “Jennifer is articulate, has an outgoing personality and communicates effectively. As a marketing student, she demonstrates professional and team building skills and has excellent interpersonal skills which will aid her in the ambassadorship,” said Wallner.
